Title

Ordinance to Enact Parking Restrictions on the East Side of the 1600 Block of S. 74^th Street from 135 Feet South of W. Lapham Street to W. National Avenue so that No Parking Would Be Allowed Anytime Except for Fire Department Business Only.

Body

WHEREAS, Wisconsin State Statues Section 349.13 (1e)(a) and 346.55(4) stipulate that owners of public property may permit parking by certain persons and may also limit, restrict or prohibit parking as to other persons if the owner posts a sign on the property indicating for whom parking is permitted; and,

WHEREAS, The Fire Department Administration Building has very limited access to parking adjacent to the building.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.  Pursuant to Section 10.10 of the Revised Municipal Code, the following parking restriction is established:

Street:                                           S. 74^th Street

Block:                                           1600 from 135 feet south of W. Lapham Street to W. National Avenue

Side:                                           East

Restriction:                      No Parking Anytime Except Fire Dept. Business Only

PART II.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication and after the City installs the necessary signage to support this ordinance.  This ordinance shall be in effect only during the National Avenue S. 70 St. to S. 76 St. construction period.
