Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Komutel Communication Solutions for furnishing and installing at the West Allis Police Department a new Dispatch Logging Recording System to record and store telephone and radio communications for an initial cost of $13,973.00 plus extended warranty coverage for years 2, 3, 4, and 5 at a cost of $22,338.00, for a total net sum of $36,311.00.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it has received competitive proposals for a new Dispatch Audio Recording System for the Police Department of the City of West Allis and  that the proposal received by Komutel Communication Solutions, as shown on the attached bid report, is reasonable; and

 

WHEREAS, proposal is pending approval by the Police and Fire Commission at its January 2018 meeting; and

 

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Komutel Communication Solutions be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated December 22, 2017, submitted by Komutel Communication Solutions, for furnishing and installing to the West Allis Police Department  a new Comlog IP350-G2 Dispatch Logging Recording System with 108 each recording licenses, and on-site training for an initial cost of $13,973.00 plus years 2, 3, 4, and 5 extended warranty at a cost of $22,338.00, for a total net sum of $36,311.00, funded by 2018 General Fund, Police Maintenance Contracts/Computer Equipment-Software Account No. 100-2101-521-3201, be and is hereby accepted.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
