Resolution accepting the donation from FIRE (First-Ring Industrial Redevelopment Enterprise) of up to but not exceeding $25,000 for the purchase and installation of 4 large commercial grade monitors to replace the projector in the Council Chambers.

WHEREAS, funding for this purchase will be provided by a donation from FIRE (First-Ring Industrial Redevelopment Enterprise) to the City to cover the cost of the equipment and installation; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council is interested in providing transparency and opportunities for citizen engagement and access to government information; and
WHEREAS, in order to enhance the presentations for public hearings at the Common Council, it is necessary to replace the antiquated equipment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by CDW-G for furnishing four (4) each Samsung Model #ED75E, 75” Commercial LED Displays at $2,740.00 each, and hardware and installation for $14,040.00, for a total net sum of $25,000.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFQ-17-038, with funding for this purchase to be provided by FIRE, and will be charged to the Communications Fund Capital Equipment account (260-8201-517-7003), be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment and installation.
