Resolution to approve bid of Faith Technologies, Inc. to furnish and install the replacements for existing lamps and/or fixtures with new DLC approved LED lighting including the removal of lamps, ballasts, and fixtures; installation of controls, conduit and wiring in some locations for automatic shut-off; and collecting and providing any documents needed from Focus on Energy as required for the City to receive anticipated incentive money for installations at five City of West Allis Buildings in the amount of $163,921.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Faith Technologies, Inc. for 2017 Project No. 23 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Faith Technologies, Inc. for 2017 Project No. 23 to furnish and install the replacements for existing lamps and/or fixtures with new DLC approved LED lighting including the removal of lamps, ballasts, and fixtures; installation of controls, conduit and wiring in some locations for automatic shut-off; and collecting and providing any documents needed from Focus on Energy as required for the City to receive anticipated incentive money for installations at:

 

City Hall

7525 West Greenfield Avenue

 

Health Department Building

7120 West National Avenue

 

Senior Center Building

7001 West National Avenue

 

Library

7421 West National Avenue

 

Fire Station No. 2

2040 South 67th Place

 

for the sum of One Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty-One and 00/100 dollars ($163,921.00) be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for this contract is authorized from the Reserve for Green Initiatives and the Finance Director is hereby authorized to transfer $163,921.00 from said reserve to the Buildings & Facilities Capital Improvement Fund.
