Resolution to approve a Demonstration Commercial Fa?ade Improvement Project Grant Contract by and between the City of West Allis and Sarandos 2 LLC, property owner for the property located at 8415 W. Greenfield Ave. in an amount not to exceed $30,000.

WHEREAS, Danny C. Sarandos, Owner and Managing Member of Sarandos 2 LLC, applied for a fa?ade grant to address issues of slum & blight on the property located at 8415 W. Greenfield Ave.; and,

WHEREAS, the project site improvements are eligible for economic or rehabilitation assistance as included in the Tax Incremental District Number Eleven (84th and Greenfield Ave.) Project Plan and that the property is within the 1/2 mile radius of the Tax Incremental District Number Eleven (84th and Greenfield Ave.) boundaries; and,

WHEREAS, the property owner is providing a 50% match to the grant for the project by completing a significant renovation and acquisition of the property at 8415 W. Greenfield Ave., for a retail grocery store (Parthenon Foods).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Demonstration Commercial Facade Improvement Project Grant Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Development, or his designee, be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the aforesaid Contract on behalf of the City.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the...
