WHEREAS, The West Allis Common Council adopted the 2017-2021 City of West Allis Strategic Plan on January 17, 2017 (R-2017-0003) which included the goal to "develop a sustainable Capital Improvement Plan which includes equipment and facilities replacement cycles, and maintenance and repair plans"; and,

WHEREAS, The Engineering Department has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for engineering consultant services to provide a comprehensive evaluation and report on the condition of the City's reservoir and booster pump station located at 1725 S. 96th Street and the pump station at 1981 S. 84th Street, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, subsequent to the highest rated firm meeting our requirements, the evaluation team recommended that the contract award be made to the best qualified firm, Baxter & Woodman, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Baxter & Woodman, Inc. be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated August 25, 2017 submitted by Baxter & Woodman, Inc. for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services to provide a comprehensive evaluation and report on the condition of the City's reservoir and booster pump station located at 1725 S. 96th Street and the pump station at 1981 S. 84th Street for an amount not to exceed $40,000 in accordance with the corresponding City of West Allis Request For Proposals be and is hereby accepted.
