WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Bluemel's Maintenance, Inc. for 2017 Project No. 16 be accepted.

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis (the "City") approved a CDBG budget for Roosevelt Park through the 2017 CDBG Annual Action Plan on November 15, 2017 through Resolution No. R-2017-1271 and through an amendment on May 5, 2017, Resolution No. R-2017-0124, totaling $237,665; and,

WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis (the "Authority") authorized a TID 7 budget for Roosevelt Park on August 8, 2017 through Resolution No. 1244, totaling $122,445.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Bluemel's Maintenance, Inc. for 2017 Project No. 16 for the installation of poured-in-place surfacing, concrete curb, concrete pavement, playground elements, bike racks, benches, receptacles, and restoration in:

931 South 58th Street

for the sum of One Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Five and 00/100 dollars ($179,195.00)

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their p...
