Title

Resolution Authorizing and Directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to Pay for Sanitary Sewer Emergency Repairs at 6823 West Hayes Avenue and at 1424 South 57^th Street in the Total Amount of $11,906.49.

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City's responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the sanitary sewer lateral connection at 1424 South 57^th Street failed based on field observations; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the sanitary sewer lateral failed due to storm sewer trench settlement at 6823 West Hayes Avenue based on field observations; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair payment for the repair work to Gene Wagner Plumbing Co. Inc. in the amount of $11,906.49.  Payment to be made from the appropriate Sanitary Sewer Utility account, #510-3803-536.6102.
