Resolution approving Subgrantee Agreements and Interdepartmental Agreements by and between the City of West Allis and various Community Development Block Grant recipients and City Departments for support of administrative, public service, housing rehabilitation, economic development, and public facilities activities and projects funded by 2017 Community Development Block Grant funds.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council under Resolution Number R-2016-0271, approved Fiscal Year 2017 Action Plan ("Plan") for the Community Development Block Grant program and amended the Plan under R-2017-0013; and,
WHEREAS, the Plan allocated Community Development Block Grant funds to various administrative, public service, housing rehabilitation, economic development, and public facilities activities and projects, a summary is hereby attached as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the aforesaid Plan's activities and projects are eligible for Community Development Block Grant funds; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) requires Subgrantee Agreements and Interdepartmental Agreements be executed by and between the City of West Allis and all organizations and entities including City Departments or Divisions that administer Community Development Block Grant fund activities; and,
WHEREAS, all City Departments and Subrecipients receiving Community Development Block Grant funds must sign a Subgrantee Agreement or Interdepartmental Agreement, an example of an agreement is hereby attached as Exhibit B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the funds allocated within the Plan are hereby appropriated from the Community Development Block Grant funds to pay the liability that will be incurred under the aforesaid Agreement by the City subject to the 2017 allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds.
