Title

Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to amend an existing agreement with Donohue & Associates, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Services related to the Design, Bidding and Construction phases of the work to replace the generator located at the Fire Department Administration Building in an amount not to exceed $25,201.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City has an existing agreement with Donohue & Associates, Inc. for Engineering Consulting Services for the design and installation of an emergency generator system at City Hall and for the design of LED lighting and an emergency generator system at the Fire Department Administration Building in the amount of $42,010; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from Donohue & Associates, Inc. to develop plans, specifications and cost estimates for the removal of the existing diesel generator and the installation of a new natural gas generator at the Fire Department Administration Building.   The City will also need assistance in the bidding and construction phases of this work including the review of contractor submittals and conducting site visits during construction.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $25,201 is hereby approved for Donohue & Associates, Inc. for the design, bidding and construction phases of the work to replace the generator located at the Fire Department Administration Building.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended agreement for Engineering Consulting Services with Donohue & Associates, Inc. and that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is directed and authorized to use the Capital Improvement Fund for Buildings/Facilities to pay for these services and related work.
