Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Cintas for furnishing public bathroom cleaning services at Reservoir Park, Veterans Park and Klentz Park for an estimated annual cost of $10,000 and authorizing up to $40,000 for the purchase and installation of security cameras and automated/programmable bathroom locks at the Parks.

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division has reported that it has received a cooperative proposal through the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance Contract No. 12-JLH-011C for furnishing public bathroom cleaning services at Reservoir Park, Veterans Park and Klentz Park (the "Parks"), and that the unit price rate proposal received was reasonable (see attached bid tabulation); and,
WHEREAS, the City is interested in Cintas providing bathroom cleaning services for said parks between the approximate timeframe of May 1 through November 1, weather-dependent; and,
WHEREAS, the City is interested in maintaining open bathrooms at the Parks, and feels it is necessary to have security cameras installed near the bathroom buildings and automated/programmable locks installed on the bathroom doors; and,
WHEREAS, purchase and installation of both security cameras and automated/programmable bathroom locks at the Parks will cost approximately $40,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Cintas be accepted and that the Director of Public Works be authorized to purchase and install security cameras and automated/programmable bathroom locks at the Parks, where deemed necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 3, 2017 submitted by Cintas for furnishing public bathroom cleaning services at Reservoir Park, Veterans Park and Klentz Park for a unit prices ranging from $81 to $101, depending on the park, and additional charges for supplies if necessary, for an estimated annual co...
