Resolution approving an Amendment to the FY 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Community Development Block Grant Action Plans, B-13-MC-55-0011, B-14-MC-55-0011, B-15-MC-55-0011, B-16-MC-55-0011 and B-17-MC-55-0011 relative to closing various 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 activities and transferring a total of approximately $169,406 of unused funds to the existing 2017 Roosevelt Park Improvements activity, and a new Slum & Blight Removal - 67th & Becher activity.
Body
WHEREAS, there are approximately $169,406 in various excess balances from previously-funded Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") activities; and,
WHEREAS, the award of funds must be allocated to programs and activities meeting national objectives of the CDBG Program, such as assisting the needs of low- to moderate-income people and preventing or eliminating slums or blight; and,
WHEREAS, an amendment to funding of the existing 2017 Roosevelt Park Improvements activity is listed below and shall hereby be approved; and,
WHEREAS, an amendment to fund a new 2017 Slum & Blight Removal - 67th & Becher activity is listed below and shall hereby be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the allocation of said funds meets the CDBG eligibility requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Development recommends the allocation and transfer of said CDBG funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, that the following amendments to the FY 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Action Plans is hereby approved:
1) Amendment to the FY 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Community Development Block Grant Action Plans, B-13-MC-55-0011, B-14-MC-55-0011, B-15-MC-55-0011, B-16-MC-55-0011 and B-17-MC-55-0011 relative to increasing the 2017 Roosevelt Park Improvements budget of $168,259 by $69,406 from 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 contingency funds, for a total Roosevelt Park Improvements budget of $237,665.
