Resolution relative to accepting the single source proposal of Badger Meter for providing water meters and radio read transmitters for a total sum of $352,240.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering water meters and radio read transmitters for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Badger Meter be accepted; and
WHEREAS, the Water Department of the City of West Allis has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the long term relationship with this manufacturer and compatibility with our current water meter system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Badger Meter for furnishing and delivering, over a ten-month period, 2000 Model RCDL-25 Remote Disc Meters (part # UM1-0002-0126) at $52.34 each totaling $104,680.00, and 2000 each Electronic Transmission Registers for the M25 meters (part #UM1-0001-1208) at $123.78 each totaling $247,560.00, for a total net sum of $352,240.00, be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
