Resolution authorizing a Professional Service Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants for Engineering Consulting Services related to retrofitting LED lighting in city buildings for an amount not to exceed $29,455.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The West Allis Common Council adopted the City of West Allis Green Initiative on June 16, 2015 (R-2015-0139) to encourage City Departments, personnel and citizens of West Allis to think long-term and broadly about environmental issues including, but not limited to, air and water quality, pollution prevention, natural restoration, solid waste reduction/recycling, energy, and transportation; and,

WHEREAS, The Engineering Department has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for engineering consultant services related to retrofitting LED lighting in city buildings, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, subsequent to the highest rated firm meeting our requirements, the evaluation team recommended that the contract award be made to the best qualified firm, Harwood Engineering Consultants; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Harwood Engineering Consultants be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 10, 2017 submitted by Harwood Engineering Consultants for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services related to retrofitting LED lighting in city buildings for an amount not to exceed $29,455.00 in accordance with the corresponding City of West Allis RFP be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants for Engineering Consulting Services.
