Resolution relative to transferring $172,420.00 from the Contingency Fund to the Police Department Automotive Capital Account for purchasing five (5) Marked 2017 AWD Ford Utility Interceptor SUV’s, and one (1) K9 equipped 2017 AWD Ford Utility Interceptor SUV from Ewald Automotive Group.

WHEREAS, the order will be placed in 2016, and funds will need to be placed in the 2016 budget due to contractual agreement; and
WHEREAS, Ewald Automotive Group, the State of Wisconsin contract holder, has provided pricing for 2017 Police vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals dated November 4, 2016, submitted by Ewald Automotive Group for furnishing and delivering five (5) Marked 2017 AWD Ford Utility Interceptor (Explorer) SUV’s for $28,647.00 each, and one (1) K9 equipped 2017 AWD Ford Utility Interceptor (Explorer) SUV for $29,185.00, for a total net sum of $172,420.00, be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $172,420.00 be and is hereby transferred from the Contingency Fund to the Police Automotive Account 100-2101-521-70-02.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Contingency Fund will be repaid a like sum from the 2017 Police Department Automotive Capital Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid vehicles.
