Resolution authorizing the transfer of $160,000 from the Reserve for Capital Replacements account to the Capital Projects fund.
Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works/City Engineer has determined that three projects as listed below are emergencies that must be completed as soon as possible; and,
WHEREAS, failure to complete these projects could cause serious hazards to employees and City residents; and,
WHEREAS, the projects are listed with estimated costs:
1) Jefferson School Transformer Roof $20,000
2) Fire Station #2 Roof Repairs $6,000
3) Fire Station HVAC Control Systems $134,000 and,
WHEREAS, the City’s Reserve for Capital Replacements account was established to provide funding for building maintenance and capital improvement projects at city buildings; and,
WHEREAS, the available balance in the Reserve for Capital Replacements account is $779,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to transfer up to $160,000 from the Reserve for Capital Replacements account to the Capital Projects fund in order to complete these emergency projects as quickly as possible.
