Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit the Farmer's Wife, a new business to occupy the first floor of the existing mixed use building located at 6531-33 W. Mitchell St.

WHERAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on August 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. Robin Mastera, d/b/a the Farmer's Wife, who resides at 2717 S. Root River Parkway., West Allis, WI 53227.

2. The property, which is owned by Lutz Land Management, is located at 6531-33 W. Mitchell St., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

All the land of the owner being located in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin, describes as follows:

Lots 1 and 2, being part of Block 10 in the Central Improvement Co. Subdivision No. 7.

Tax Key No. 454-0295-001

Said land being located at 6531-33 W. Mitchell St.

3. The aforesaid premise is zoned C-2 Neighborhood Commercial District under the Zoning Ordinance of the City of West Allis, which permits restaurants with outdoor dining/extension of premise as a special use, pursuant to Sec. 12.16 and Sec. 12.41(2) of the Revised Municipal Code.

4. The applicant is proposing to establish an approximate 2,700 sq. ft. restaurant with outdoor dining/extension of premise at 6531-33 W. Mitchell St. The outdoor dining will be located on the west elevation of the tenant space on S. 66th St.

5. The subject property is located on the northwest corner of W. Mitchell St. and S. 66th St., which is zoned for commercial purposes. The property to the north is developed for commercial and residential purposes. The property to the west is developed for industrial purposes. Propert...
