Resolution to approve bid of Bluemel's Maintenance Services, Inc. for the construction of a new playground area at Reservoir Park  located at 9621 West Lapham Street in the City of West Allis in the amount of $339,355.50.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of  Bluemel's Maintenance Services, Inc. for 2016 Project No. 14 be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Bluemel's Maintenance Services, Inc. for 2016 Project No. 14 for the construction of a new playground area at:

 

Reservoir Park

9621 West Lapham Street

PLAN FILE NOS. B-821

 

for the sum of Three Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Fifty-Five and 50/100 dollars ($339,355.50)

 

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding Parks and Playground Improvement Program funds.
