Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Compass Minerals for furnishing and delivering 3000 tons of deicing road salt for a total sum of $180,270.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for furnishing and delivering deicing road salt for the 2016/2017 winter season for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Compass Minerals be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Compass Minerals for furnishing 2500 tons of seasonal fill and 500 tons reserve fill at $60.09/ton for a total net sum of $180,270.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid material.
