Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Gerber Leisure Products for furnishing and delivering Landscape Structures, Inc. playground equipment for Veteran's Park for a sum not to exceed $95,000.


Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it has received a cooperative proposal through the Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN Contract #R5202) for furnishing and delivering various playground equipment for Veteran's Park for the Department of Development of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Gerber Leisure Products be accepted.

WHEREAS, there is approximately $61,390 in the City's Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") "local accounts" ("LA") fund that is unallocated to a specific activity, to be transferred to the FY2015 Veteran's Park Improvements activity (C15408) for said playground equipment purchase; and,

WHEREAS, there is excess CDBG funding in the FY2015 Multi-family Housing Rehab activity (C15303), to be transferred to the FY2015 Veteran's Park Improvements activity (C15408) for said playground equipment purchase.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 24, 2016 submitted by Gerber Leisure Products for furnishing Landscape Structures, Inc. playground equipment for a total net sum not to exceed $95,000 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the following amendments to the FY2015 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Action Plan are hereby approved and said playground equipment purchases be funded with CDBG funds in the following manner:
