Resolution requesting the transfer of $12,242.25 from the City’s Contingency Fund to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Account.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the “City”) always maintains a Contingency Reserve to cover the cost of unanticipated expenditures (Account No. 100-0000-371-2000); and,
WHEREAS, the amount in the Contingency Reserve as of 12/31/2015 is $3.0 million; and,
WHEREAS, the City was monitored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) for various Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) activities in 2013; and,
WHEREAS, a few expenses between the years 2009 and 2012 were found to be ineligible due to insufficient record keeping, and HUD has requested that the City credit the CDBG program for a total of $12,242.25; and,
WHEREAS, the West Allis Police Department is requesting monies from Contingency to credit the CDBG program for ineligible expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $12,242.25 is hereby approved for transfer from the City’s Contingency Fund to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Account.
