Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Blue Ribbon Organics for providing yard waste management services for a five year period for an estimated sum of $618,240.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for providing yard waste management services for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Blue Ribbon Organics be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted March 28, 2016 by Blue Ribbon Organics for removal and disposal of approximately 3832 tons of leaves & garden debris at $21.00/ton for $80,472.00 and 1542 tons of branches and brush at $28.00/ton for $43,176.00 for a total estimated sum of $123,648.00 for the period through December 31, 2016 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1316 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that both parties may mutually agree to renew this contract for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods for an estimated cost of $494,592.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
