Resolution authorizing the Director of Development to enter into a landscape design/architectural services contract for plans and specifications for playground/park designs with Ayres Associates, in an amount not to exceed $19,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis (the "City"), on November 5, 2015, issued Notice #1297 seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for landscape design/architectural services to prepare plans and specifications for playground/park designs for the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City received three (3) responses from qualified consultants; and,
WHEREAS, a panel of City staff evaluated the responses and scored each proposal based off of various criteria as stated in the issued SOQ, and determined Ayres Associates to be the most qualified consultant for the requested services; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council has approved two (2) park improvement activities in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) budgets for Liberty Height Park and Veterans Park; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Development recommends that the City enter into a landscape design/architectural services contract for plans and specifications for playground/park designs in an amount not to exceed $19,000, with Ayres Associates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:
1. That the Director of Development, or his designee, is authorized to enter into a landscape design/architectural services contract for plans and specifications for playground/park designs for the City, with Ayres Associates, in an amount not to exceed $19,000.
2. That the sum of $19,000 be and is hereby appropriated from appropriate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG funds) and/or applicable Tax Incremental Finance District funds.
