Title

Resolution relative to selecting MSDSonline® for furnishing the software for the storage and accessibility of safety data sheets (SDS) or MSDS as required by Wisconsin’s Safety and Professional Services codes for a three year period at the cost of $15,300.

 

Body

WHEREAS, as part of Wisconsin’s Safety and Professional Services Code, the City of West Allis is required to store (for 30 years from date of inception) and make readily accessible for any and all employees the safety data sheets (SDS); and

 

WHEREAS, MSDSonline® is an approved vendor through the City and Villages Municipal Insurance Company (CVMIC) with discounted rates for members, and the part of the cost of the software will be offset by the CVMIC grant program; and

 

WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department, Information Technology and Communications Department, Public Works Department, and the City Administrator agree that utilizing MSDSonline® is in the best interest of the city and recommend that the contract be awarded to MSDSonline®; and

 

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal for MSDSonline® be accepted.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by MSDSonline® for a three year period at the cost of $15,300 be and is hereby accepted.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
