Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of various suppliers for furnishing and delivering valves, water boxes and extensions for a total sum of $141,650.30.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering valves, waterboxes, extensions and various related hardware for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Ferguson Waterworks, First Supply-Milwaukee and HD Supply Waterworks be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 23, 2015 submitted by Ferguson Waterworks for furnishing chimney seals, adaptors & valve extensions in the amount of $105,340.80; the proposal dated February 23, 2015 submitted by First Supply-Milwaukee for furnishing valve boxes in the amount of $15,156.00 and the proposal dated February 18, 2015 submitted by HD Supply Waterworks for furnishing curb stops and butterfly valves in the amount of $20,922.50 for the total net sum of $141,650.30 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1266 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid materials.
