Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to enter into a contract amendment to the professional services contract between the City of West Allis and Graef to provide Engineering Consulting Services for the construction of the 76th Street Bridge and Beloit Road Bridge for a total sum not to exceed $25,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis by Resolution Number R-2014-0124 adopted on May 20, 2014, accepted the proposal of Graef for providing Bridge Inspection Services and Bridge Design Engineering Consulting Services for a total sum of $29,081.42; and
WHEREAS, The City of West Allis Engineering Department has identified two bridges needing immediate maintenance to their deck surfaces in order to postpone their costly replacement; and,

WHEREAS, it is, therefore, necessary to amend the professional services contract with Graef to provide Engineering Consulting Services for the construction of the 76th Street Bridge and Beloit Road Bridge for a total sum not to exceed $25,000.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 26, 2015 submitted by Graef for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services for the construction of the 76th Street Bridge and Beloit Road Bridge for a total sum not to exceed $25,000.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this proposal comes from Bond Funds.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and ...
