Title

Resolution approving the proposal from Energenecs for replacement of programmable logic controls at the Water Reservoir in an amount not to exceed $28,000

Body

WHEREAS, the original SCADA system was installed in 1993 and the Modicon programmable logic controls (PLC's) are now obsolete; and,

WHEREAS, PLC's are a vital component which links sensors and actuators to the monitoring system of the Water Reservoir; and,

WHEREAS, without operating PLC's the Water Reservoir would be very difficult to operate causing a possible safety emergency for the city's water supply.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal from Energenecs is hereby accepted in an amount not to exceed $28,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid service and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is authorized to sign the proposal.
