Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. for furnishing a new Vermeer Brush Chipper for a total sum of $41,035.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through the National Joint Power Alliance (NJPA contract 070313 VRM) for furnishing one (1) brush chipper for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, Vermeer-Wisconsin will provide a trade-in of $15,000 for one (1) BC1800a/3022, fleet #1590, with 2000 hrs., which is fair and reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 30, 2014 submitted by Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. for furnishing and delivering one (1) Vermeer BC1800XL brush chipper for a total net sum of $41,035.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURHTER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
