Title
An Ordinance to Amend Subsection 15.03(5) and 1.07(6) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to the 1 ½% charged per month on bills not paid by the due date, and to require a penalty to be charged per month based on the rate for water which is approved by the Public Service Commission.

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
Part I. Subsection 15.03(5) and 1.07(6) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read
15.03(5) Billing and Payment. Bills for the user fee shall be rendered as part of the water bill for the property and become due and payable on the same date as the water bill, for those invoiced quarterly on the water bill. For those residential units billed monthly, they are due and payable on the 15th of the following month, to be collected and administered by the mobile home park owner or agent. A penalty of that equal to the rate for water, which is approved by the Public Service Commission, shall be added per month to bills not paid by the due date.
1.07(6) Quarterly Charges. Bills for sewer service shall be rendered quarterly and become due
and payable on the same date as the respective water bill. A penalty of that equal to the rate for water, which is approved by the Public Service Commission, shall be added per month to bills not paid by the due date.
Part II. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended
Part III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication
