Title

Resolution regarding restricting baseball playing at Rogers Park at S. 56^th Street and W. Rogers.

Body

WHEREAS, Alderman Vince Vitale has requested that a sign be placed restricting baseball play at Rogers Park due to concerns about possible damage to adjacent properties; and,

WHEREAS, Section 11.13(3) of the Revised Municipal Code states, in part, that under the direction of the Board of Public Works, the Director of Public Works has the authority to manage, change, improve and maintain City parks.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in cases of restricting or allowing baseball playing in City parks, the Board of Public Works elects to delegate to the Director of Public Works the authority to decide the matter after conferring with the District Alderpersons.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that related costs to install or remove any signs be taken from the appropriate account.
