Title

An Ordinance to Create Subsection 17.01(18) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relative to Changing the Title of Clerk/Treasurer to City Clerk or City Treasurer.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.  Subsection 17.01(18) of the Revised Municipal Code is hereby created to read:

17.01      DEFINITIONS AND RULES FOR CONSTRUCTION.

(18)  City Clerk or City Treasurer.  Wherever the term 'Clerk/Treasurer' is used in this code, it shall be taken to mean the City Clerk or the City Treasurer as the context and the operation of section 2.10 determine is appropriate. From time to time hereafter, as pages of this code are reprinted, the City Clerk shall substitute these new terms.

PART II.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
