Resolution to approve bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for construction of an asphalt parking lot, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, pavement marking, landscaping and utility adjustments in the Chalet Parking Lot located at 6215 W. National Avenue in the City of West Allis in the amount of $185,860.90.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2013 Project No. 16 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2013 Project No. 16 for construction of an asphalt parking lot, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, pavement marking, landscaping and utility adjustments in:
Chalet Parking Lot
6215 W. National Avenue
(PLAN FILE NOS. B-817)
for the sum of One Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty and 90/100 dollars ($185,860.90)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Community Development Block Grant funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said construction shall be contingent on the City owning the land.
