Resolution approving an amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Action Plan.
Body
WHEREAS, there are $148,870 in various excess balances from previously-funded Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) activities; and,
WHEREAS, the award of funds must be allocated to programs and activities meeting national objectives of the CDBG Program, such as assisting the needs of low- to moderate-income people and preventing or eliminating slums or blight; and,
WHEREAS, an amendment to funding of the existing 2014 Liberty Heights Park Improvements activity is listed below and shall hereby be approved; and,
WHEREAS, the allocation of said funds meets the CDBG eligibility requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Development recommends the allocation and transfer of said CDBG funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis, that the following amendment to the FY2014 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) Action Plan is hereby approved:
1) Amendment to the FY 2014 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-14-MC-55-0011, relative to increasing the 2014 Liberty Heights Park Improvements budget of $82,499 by $148,870 from 2013 and 2014 contingency funds, for a total budget of $231,369.
