Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. for furnishing a new 2013 Vermeer Brush Chipper for a total sum of $42,308.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through the National Joint Power Alliance (NJPA contract 081209-VRM) for furnishing one (1) brush chipper for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. will provide a trade-in of $15,000.00, which is fair and reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. be accepted

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated July 26, 2013 submitted by Vermeer-Wisconsin, Inc. for furnishing and delivering one (1) 2013 Vermeer BC1800XL brush chipper for a total net sum of $42,308.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
