Title
Resolution approving an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-04-MC-55-0001, creating the Neighborhood Green Space Project with a budget not to exceed $10,000.00.   
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Green Space Project and the aforesaid project costs are eligible for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) funds; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis acquired the property at S. 59 St. and W. Beloit Rd. (formerly Fran's Auto) in partnership with Milwaukee County to remove blight and address environmental concerns; and,
 
WHEREAS, the building on the site were demolished and the site remediated through a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Site Assessment Grants; and,
 
WHEREAS, the neighborhood would be best served by making the corner a green space while plans are being developed for the reconstruction of S. 60 St.; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of this project.  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan,
B-04-MC-55-0001, creating the Neighborhood Green Space Project with a budget not to exceed $10,000.00.    
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for the Neighborhood Green Space Project be made available through a reduction to the following program:
 
$ 10,000.00 from the Contingency Fund
