Resolution relative to the hiring of Barrientos Design & Consulting for providing architectural design and construction management services for the reconstruction of the damaged area of the Farmer's Market for an estimated sum not to exceed $22,000.

WHEREAS, the southeast corner of the Farmer's Market was damaged in a vehicle accident in June of 2013; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council approved a plan to rebuild the portion damaged to as near original as possible; and,

WHEREAS, Barrientos was the architect of record for the remodeling of Farmer's Market and therefore is familiar and knowledgeable of the materials and construction methods used during the remodeling along with the original 1940's construction.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis approves the hiring of Barrientos Design & Consulting for architectural services related to the rebuilding of the Farmer's Market in an amount not to exceed $22,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Barrientos with the funding provided by the insurance proceeds.
