Resolution to authorize the purchase of one new Toyota 50-8FGCU32 lift truck from Badger ToyotaLift for a total sum of $40,023.53.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has a need for a larger lift truck for the new DPW Facility with a fork height able to reach the new mezzanine storage areas within the main building; and,
WHEREAS, the 2025 approved budget includes $50,000 for the purchase of the new lift truck; and,
WHEREAS, Badger ToyotaLift has provided pricing for the new lift truck under a cooperative proposal through the Sourcewell National Cooperative Contract #053024-ATY, for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this proposal meets all desired specifications, and that the proposal received is reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Badger ToyotaLift be accepted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 28, 2025 by Badger ToyotaLift for furnishing and delivering one new Toyota 50-8FGCU32 lift truck for a total sum of $40,023.53 be and is hereby accepted. Funding for this purchase has been budgeted and is available in the 2025 Capital Improvement Program budget in the amount of $40,023.53. The purchase will be charged to Account Number 352-4501-533.70-03.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
