Title
Resolution to amend an existing Professional Services Contract with Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC (SSE) for the design of green infrastructure improvements along S. 65th and 66th Streets for an amount not to exceed $21,109.

Body
WHEREAS, the City has an existing Professional Services Contract with Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC (SSE), to design green infrastructure along S. 65th and 66th Streets, that would maximize the reduction in pollution, slow down the peak stormwater runoff flows and increase infiltration to reduce the volume entering the City's storm sewer system, and
WHEREAS Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC (SSE) had to engage in extensive negotiations with the WisDNR regarding the contradictory requirements imposed on the City in their Administrative Rule NR 811.74 regarding the separation of green infrastructure from water mains since the WisDNR expects the City to meet their TMDL goals while the WisDNR simultaneously restricted the use of green infrastructure in most streets; and

WHEREAS the City approved an Agreement between the City of West Allis and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) to receive $400,000 in funding through the MMSD Strategic Green Infrastructure Program for the installation of Green Infrastructure on the Six Points Connection Project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 22, 2022 submitted by Stormwater Solutions Engineering, LLC (SSE) for designing green infrastructure improvements along S. 65th and 66th Streets for an amount not to exceed $21,109 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this amendment to the Engineering Consulting Services Contract come from the Strategic Green Infrastructure Program Funding Agreement executed with the MMSD.
