An Ordinance to repeal and recreate Section 2.08 of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code relative to elections, ballots and voting systems, electors, election officials, selection and duties, canvassing, nominations, primaries, post-election actions, direct legislation, election dates and notices, campaign financing, and prohibited election practices.

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Section 2.08 of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby repealed and recreated to read:
2.08 ELECTIONS AND OFFICIALS
State Regulations. Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of the Wisconsin State Statutes Chapters 5-12 and the Wisconsin Administrative Code Government Accountability Board Chapters 1-25 relative to elections, ballots and voting systems, electors, election officials, selection and duties, canvassing, nominations, primaries, post-election actions, direct legislation, election dates and notices, campaign financing, and prohibited election practices are adopted by reference and made a part hereof with the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein.
PART II. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended.
PART III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
