Resolution relative to accepting the sole source proposal of John Deere Landscapes for providing Tree-age Emerald Ash treatment for a total net sum of $34,020.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for providing Tree-age Emerald Ash treatment for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of John Deere Landscapes be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Forestry Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because this is the only source for this formulation of the chemical Emamectin Benzoate and because John Deere Landscapes has agreed to provide the product at 2011 pricing for a savings of $1700.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated December 21, 2011submitted by John Deere Landscapes for furnishing and delivering 65 liters of Arborjet Tree-age for $468.00 each and 80 pkg. of Arborjet plugs for $45.00 pkg for the total net sum of $34,020.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid supplies.
