Title
Resolution to extend the previously imposed Moratorium on Issuing or Transferring Class "A" Licenses in the Central Business District.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the "City") currently issues Class "A" licenses for Liquor Stores in the Central Business District in accordance with section 9.02 of the Revised Municipal Code; and,

WHEREAS, the City is seeking a brief and temporary interval in Class "A" license issuance and Class "A" license transfer to consider if an increase in Liquor Stores in the Central Business District threatens to undermine the health, safety, and welfare of the City of West Allis residents.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the existing moratorium be extended to limit the granting and issuing of all aforementioned licenses for a period of up to 90 days.

BE IT FURTER RESOLVED that said moratorium shall not apply to renewal applications for the same address as long as the location of the establishment remains the same.
