Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of STS Consultants, Ltd.for furnishing environmental consulting services at the storm sewer project at 53rd and Rogers St. for a total net sum of $11,925.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for environmental consulting services for the City's storm sewer project at 53rd and Rogers St.; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of STS Consultants, Ltd. be accepted; and,

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the ongoing work that STS Consultants has already done on this project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated November 21, 2002 submitted by STS Consultants, Ltd., to provide soil sample collection and analysis for landfill profile parameters, soil probe assessment and preparation of special provisions for handling and disposal of contaminated soil as relates to the storm sewer project at 53rd & Rogers St. for the total net sum of $11,925 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid services.
