Resolution relative to deleting the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual Nos. 1601 through 1617 under Police Department.

 

Body

WHEREAS, upon recent review of Police Department policies by staff, it has been determined that under Chapter 62.13(6) of the Wisconsin State Statutes, the Police & Fire Commission is charged with establishing and enforcing policies pertaining to the Police Department, which supersedes any sections of the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual; and

 

WHEREAS, it is recommended that Policy Nos. 1601 through 1617, Police Department, be deleted from the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual and that the policies of the Police Department control police operations.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Policy Nos. 1601 through 1617 be deleted from said City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that directions concerning deletion of said policies be communicated to all departments, divisions, and offices.
