Resolution authorizing change of the polling place for the Second Ward of the First Aldermanic District from Horace Mann School to the West Allis Police Satellite Station.
Body
WHEREAS, Horace Mann School is the current voting location for Wards 2 and 3 of the First Aldermanic District; and,
WHEREAS, the facilities at Horace Mann are sometimes crowded having combined wards; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to move one of the two wards to another location; and,
WHEREAS, the West Allis Police Satellite Station is located in the Second Ward of the First Aldermanic District and can be accommodated as a voting place with minimal preparation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the polling place for the Second Ward of the First Aldermanic District shall be changed from Horace Mann School, 6213 W. Lapham St., to the West Allis Police Satellite Station, 6900 W. National Ave., and said location is hereby designated as the polling place for the Second Ward of the First Aldermanic District, effective with the February, 2006 Spring Primary.
