Title
Resolution rescinding all previous resolutions relative to the membership composition of the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 27275, dated December 17, 2002, established the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 27275 was further amended by Resolution No. R-2003-0296, dated October 7, 2003, Resolution No. R-2006-0234, dated September 19, 2006, and Resolution No. R-2007-0182, dated August 7, 2007, changing various membership positions on the Committee; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of West Allis to further amend the membership of the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the members of the West Allis Community Celebrations Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council and shall include the following:
1. One Alderperson, who shall also serve as Chair (2 Year Term).
2. Mayor, who shall also serve as Vice Chair (Permanent Term).
3. Four members from the business community, including one representative of sponsoring and/or contributing organizations (3 Year Term), one representative of the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District (3 Year Term), and two representatives from other businesses (3 Year Term).
4. Eight citizen representatives (3 Year Term).
5. The Director of the School District Recreation Department, or his/her designee (Permanent Term).
6. The Director of Public Works, or his/her designee (Indefinite Term as Ex-Officio).
7. The City Administrative Officer, or his/her designee (Indefinite Term as Ex-Officio).
