Resolution relative to accepting the proposal from Istate Truck Center for furnishing and delivering two (2) new 2005 American Lafrance Condor truck chassis at a cost of $68,000 each.
Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for one (1) 2005 American Lafrance Condor truck chassis for the Sanitary Sewer Utility of the City of West Allis and (1) 2005 American Lafrance Condor truck chassis for the Recycling Utility of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Istate Truck Center be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the special purchase price of two four (4) year old chassis with 1,400 miles each.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated September 10, 2009 submitted by Istate Truck Center for furnishing and delivering two (2) 2005 American Lafrance Condor truck chassis for $68,000.00 each be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment, with payment to be made from Sanitary Sewer Utility funds and Recycling Utility funds.
