Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to contract with Carlson Racine Roofing and Sheet Metal, Enc. for roof and parapet wall repairs on the Public Works Yard building in an amount not to exceed $24,000.

WHEREAS, a section of roof and parapet wall at the Yard building needs immediate repairs; and,
WHEREAS, Public Works/Engineering staff received three bids for the work; and,
WHEREAS, Carlson Racine submitted the low bid and is qualified for the work; and,
WHEREAS, delaying the repairs will cause further damage to the roof and parapet thereby increasing costs in the future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Carlson Racine to make the necessary repairs and take any and all actions on behalf of the City of West Allis to complete the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOVED that the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to fund the project from the Capital Projects fund and/or from other appropriate City accounts and make any transfer between funding sources if needed in order to complete the project as soon as possible.
