Title
An Ordinance to amend Section 2.68(6)(b) and (c) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code relative to increasing levels of purchasing authority.

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Section 2.68(6)(b) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.68 Purchasing Procedures.
(6) Amount of Purchase.
(b) Purchases Over $5,000.00 But Less Than $25,000.00. Purchases of equipment, materials, supplies and services that cost more than $5,000.00 but less than $25,000.00, shall be made by written, electronic, or oral proposal pursuant to Division rules. The award shall be made by the Division to the party who has submitted the lowest responsible and responsive proposal that is determined to be in the best interest of the City by the Division.
(c) Purchases $25,000.00 and Over. Purchases of equipment, materials, supplies and services that cost $25,000.00 and over shall be made by written or electronic competitive bid or request for proposals. Requirements of the competitive process includes:
PART II. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
PART III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication.
