Resolution to deny an application by Brian W. and Kim Peterson to the Commercial Facade Improvement Grant Program for the property at 7201-7207 W. Greenfield Avenue and 1411-1413 S. 72 St.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis operates a Commercial Facade Improvement Program through use of funds from the Community Development Block Grant Program to address slum and blight conditions of properties in designated neighborhoods in the City;
WHEREAS, the program provides partial grants on a reimbursement basis to assist property owners improve appearance of a property; and,
WHEREAS, Brian W. and Kim Peterson, owners of the property at 7201-7207 W. Greenfield Avenue and 1411-1413 S. 72 St. have submitted an application to the Commercial Facade Improvement Grant Program to assist with property renovations; and,
WHEREAS, the applicant does not meet the conditions for a facade grant program based on outstanding special assessments on the property relating to code violations and that property ownership is currently involved in a Chapter 11 procedure; and,
WHEREAS, based on the application not fulfilling program requirements, Staff recommends denial of the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Commercial Facade Improvement Project application submitted by Brian W. and Kim Peterson for the property located at 7201-7207 W. Greenfield Avenue and 1411-1413 S. 72 St. is hereby denied approval.
