Resolution relative to accepting the proposals of Peterbilt of WI and Truck Country of WI for furnishing and delivering three (3) truck cab & chassis for a total sum of
$200,237.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering three (3) truck cab & chassis for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Peterbilt of WI and Truck Country of WI be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 1, 2005 submitted by Peterbilt of WI for furnishing one (1) 2006 Peterbilt 320 64,000 GVW Low Entry Dual Control Cab & Chassis for $84,966.00 and the proposal dated February 2, 2005 submitted by Truck County of WI for furnishing one (1) 2006 Freightliner M2 106 41,000 GVW Single Axle Cab & Chassis for $53,671.00 and one (1) 2006 Freightliner M2 106V 64,000 GVW Tandem Axle Cab & Chassis for $61,600.00 for a total net sum of $200,237.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP 872 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
